The NCEP is a two-day program for high school students interested in a nonprofit career. Held at a local college or university, the program introduces students to various areas within the nonprofit sector including fiscal, programs, and the executive suite through a focused, undergraduate-level program taught by college faculty and guest lecturers from the nonprofit sector. Students have the opportunity to attend classes on careers in nonprofits, personal development, tour a college campus, and a local nonprofit. The program also includes a luncheon with parents to commemorate the student's participation in the program and to recruit volunteers for a local nonprofit.
